Comet was our very first harrier and he has set the bar rather high for those who will follow him in our hearts. He was a house dog and companion first and foremost but he has was a show dog and a sire. We are very grateful to Donna Smiley-Auborn, Kingsbury Harriers, for allowing us to have and love this loyal and adoring dog. It is from him that our foundation has been cast.

Comet was a doting companion, friend and protector for our youngest daughter, who has autism. He was intuitive and patient/tolerant in dealing with her ... which is better than most people much of the time. After his retirement from Service Work , one of his sons took over in his stead.

Comet is the sire of 4 litters, producing 16 AKC , 1 Canadian Kennel Club,and 2 UKC Champions. The puppies include: Four (4) Hound Group Winners, Two (2) National Specialty Winners, Two (2 ) are National Specialty Sweepstakes Winners, Two (2) Hound Show Winners, Two (2) AKC/Eukanuba Classic Bred-by Exhibitor Winners, One (1) Best of Opposite at the Classic; Two (2) Westminster Kennel Club Best of Breed Winners -- one of which is the top-winning Harrier

in breed History. Three of Comet's hound group-winning puppies have won their groups owner-handled from the classes. Comet's daughter, Vivi, is a Tracking Dog title holder and became the first MACH harrier agility title holder in history.

Comet was a full litter brother to Ch. Amblin's Tenacious, winner of the Harrier Club of America's 2001 National Specialty show. Comet, himself, was Best of Opposite Sex in Puppy Sweepstakes at the 1999 HCA event and has qualified for the AKC/Eukanuba Classic Invitational dog show twice, with very limited showing.

CODA

We were very excited to have our first bred-by exhibitor harrier to show. Coda began his show career by earning multiple Best of Breed Awards, a Group 1 for a 5-point major, multiple group placings and was also Winners Dog and Best of Winners for another 5 points at the Harrier Club of America National Specialty to finish his championship.

He finished 2006 as # 4 Harrier & # 6 Harrier (All-breed) with 8 group placings.

In 2007, Coda was # 1 Harrier (All-breed) and # 5 Harrier (Breed). He set a new breed record for All-Breed Bests in Show won in a year and a new All Time Breed record for Hound Group 1's. 7-BIS and 54 Hound Groups won in 9 months! He was #5 Hound in America and made the Purina top 100 Champions List (42).

In 2008, Coda became the third harrier in history to earn a group placement at the famed Westminster Kennel Club dog show. He shortly there after became the top winning harrier in Breed history by winning his 12th Best in Show. He also won the Harrier Club of America National Specialty Show. He finished out the year as the # 1 Harrier, # 1 Hound and #8 Dog all-breeds. Click here for 2008 record.

Henry's Service Training began with the AKC Canine Good Citizen Program, then advanced to the Delta Society Pet Partner Therapy Dog Training & then required learning specific tasks for Autism Assistance.

Stud services to approved females only. For America & Canada, OFA hip and CERF eye clearances are required. Girls must be at least 2 years of age and a copy of their pedigrees must be furnished. Our hounds are both AKC & UKC registered.
